These are the terms of use of DorpCraft. They apply to the use of dorpcraft.nl and related services of DorpCraft. By using DorpCraft or creating an account, you agree to these terms.

DorpCraft is part of the Verdraaid network: a group of friends, no lawyers. This document was created with the help of AI based on how DorpCraft works. It is meant seriously, but not official legal advice. If you have questions about something? Mail [email protected] — we'd like to look at it together.

We are a friend group without a budget for paid legal help, so we are mainly looking for people who want to support us. However, we are happy to include a credits snippet in these legal pages for those who help us.

1. About DorpCraft

DorpCraft is a community focused on gaming, streams, videos, and camaraderie (Building, Experiencing & Discovering). Via dorpcraft.nl we offer content, community information, accounts, and forms. Contact: [email protected] or via Discord.

2. Acceptance

By visiting DorpCraft, viewing content, or registering an account, you accept these terms of use and our privacy statement. If you disagree, do not use DorpCraft (further).

3. Age and content

At DorpCraft we sometimes use language or humor that is not suitable for younger viewers. We advise against DorpCraft for children under 14. We recommend watching from about 14 to 15 years old. We try to limit it, but cannot prevent that sometimes something comes by that is not suitable for everyone (especially live content).

For accounts and personal data: if you are younger than 16, ask for permission from a parent or guardian. See also our privacy statement.

4. Accounts

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you provide.
  • You keep your login credentials confidential and are responsible for use via your account.
  • You may not create an account with misleading or illegal data.
  • We may suspend or delete accounts for misuse, fraud, violation of laws, or breach of these terms.
  • You can manage your account details via /account. For complete deletion, you can contact us via [email protected].

5. Behavior rules

On and via DorpCraft (including forms and community functions) you may not:

  • post illegal, threatening, hate-filled, discriminatory, or otherwise illegal content;
  • violate the privacy of others or share personal data of third parties without consent;
  • perform spam, phishing, malware, or other harmful activities;
  • try to hack, overload, or bypass the security of DorpCraft or our systems;
  • violate the intellectual property rights of DorpCraft or third parties.

6. Content and intellectual property

Texts, logos, design, videos, and other materials of DorpCraft are owned by DorpCraft, its members, or legitimate third parties (such as YouTube/Twitch), unless otherwise stated. You may not copy or reuse content outside what the law or the relevant platform terms allow, without permission.

Content you submit yourself via forms or account fields may be used by DorpCraft for the purpose you provided it for (e.g., community activities or management). You guarantee you are authorized to do so.

7. External services and links

DorpCraft may link to or embed content from third parties (YouTube, Twitch, Discord, DorpCraft, etc.). The terms and privacy policies of those parties apply on their services. We are not responsible for the content or availability thereof. Embedded media will only load after your cookie consent where required — see the cookie policy. Own analytics (no Google Analytics) also fall under this: no analytics cookie without consent, but aggregated daily statistics; with consent, a first-party cookie you can revoke via the cookie icon.

8. DorpCraft and community servers

Information about servers such as DorpCraft (play.dorpcraft.nl) is intended as a tool for the community. Additional server rules from the respective server administrators may apply separately. Playing is at your own risk; we guarantee no uninterrupted availability.

9. Availability and changes

We strive for DorpCraft to work well, but guarantee no uninterrupted or error-free service. We may change functionality, content, and these terms. The date at the top shows the last update. By continuing to use after a change, you agree to the updated terms, to the extent the law allows.

10. Liability

DorpCraft and our content are offered “as is”, to the extent the law allows. DorpCraft is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, data loss, or damages from external platforms, unless there is intent or willful negligence. Nothing in these terms limits liability that according to Dutch law cannot be limited (e.g., bodily injury due to intent).

12. Applicable law and disputes

These terms and the use of DorpCraft are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are referred to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection law points to another competent court.
