The new DorpCraft website is live

It's time. DorpCraft has a brand new website. We built it for a while, and today it's finally open. Besides playing on play.dorpcraft.nl dorpcraft.nl is now the place where you view villages, open the world map, watch videos and soon manage your own village with your account linked.

Villages

View all in-game villages, their members and whether they are open to join.

Live Card

The 3D world map of overworld, nether and the end, can also be reached with /map in-game.

Videos

Our official videos and those of approved community channels.

Team

Who's behind DorpCraft.

Also good news for playing: DorpCraft now supports Simple Voice Chat. With the corresponding mod you hear other players who are close, just via your microphone.

Link your account

Much of the village management can be done from the website, but your account must be linked to your Minecraft name.

  1. Log in to /account (or create an account first)
  2. Click in the "Minecraft" block on Start link
  3. Type in-game /Couple Your code
  4. Enter the secret code you get in the Minecraft chat on the site and confirm

What can you manage after that?

Once paired you see on /account immediately which village you belong to, and whether you can manage institutions there. If you are a Leader or Officer with a linked account, you can also visit your village page:

  • Customize prefix and colors with a color chooser, including live chat preview
  • Enable or disable relationships with friendly villages
  • Set up temporary visitors (from 30 minutes to permanent) without anyone having to join
  • Accept or refuse join applications
  • Manage grades and members

Claiming, unclaiming, depositing or withdrawing the cash and land rights continue to do things that your in-game does.

New: our own plugin, full of new features

A fresh start: where we used to play at KingdomCraft, as some of you may remember, we now play The DorpCraft pluginBuilt entirely for the requirements of Verdraaid and DorpCraft. It revolves around two concepts that are just different than you might be used to: you villageand you settlement. Your village is the group you belong to, the members, ranks and friendships. A settlement is the place on the map where you build, with your own claims, greenhouse, spawn and warps. You are always in one village, but that village can have up to three subvillages next to the main settlement.

  • Creating village costs 250 coins and you become automatically Leader
  • The first chunk you claim is free, then you pay from the cash of your settlement
  • Standard grades are Leader, Officer and Member, each with their own rights
  • A village can be open (direct join) or only on invitation
  • Leaving village can now leave with /village You are leader, then first transfer the leadership with /village

Quick Start

So you start with a village

Prices and limits may be adjusted by staff; These are the default values.

Five steps to move from newcomer to village owner.

We're far from finished.

This launch is a starting point, not an end point. Behind the scenes we continue to work on new additions for both the site and the server, and in the coming time we will roll that step by step. Two functions are already ready to try out: automatic translation with /long, and if YouTuber automatically displays your own videos on DorpCraft.

/lang: automatic translation (beta)

The server is written in Dutch, but with /long choose which language you want to see chat, menus, signs and items in. Your choice only applies to you and will be retained, even if you log on later or switch servers within the network.

Well translated

Chat from other players, system messages and plugin text, boards in the world, item names and lore in menus, titles, boss bars, action bars, tab and scoreboard.

Not translated

Playernames and [ranks], custom icons/glyphs, text you are typing yourself, some proxy messages (like /server), and everything if you /lang off, have it.

Beta

So you use /long

This is a beta. Things can break, you find a mistake? Report to Discord or send a staff member a message in-game.

Works on every server of the network; Your choice of language simply goes with it.

Do you want everything back in the original text? Choose from the Disable Translation menu, or type /long out.

For YouTubers: Enter your channel

Are you making videos about DorpCraft? Then you can submit your channel to automatically show your videos on the site. This is possible if you have at least 10 subscribers and deliver your own YouTube Data API key. After filing we assess your channel; Videos don't go live until we can confirm that it's really about DorpCraft goes, with a check via Gemini on entry in the title, description or transcription.

Why have your own API key? This way, without shared limits, we can keep collecting the videos reliably and on time for everyone, and this will also remain easy for us in the longer term. We may replace this with something easier in the future, but for now this is the way.

  1. Go to /account and open the part for your YouTube channel
  2. Fill in your Channel URL
  3. Add your own YouTube Data API v3 key . this step-by-step explanation Show you
  4. Click Submit and wait for admin approval
